Executive Summary
Inverness Medical Innovations expands its health management services business through the acquisition of Seattle-based Free & Clear for $100 million, plus up to $30 million in future milestone payments, announced Sept. 21. Free & Clear, which provides online and phone-based behavioral coaching to address health risks associated with tobacco, poor nutrition, inactivity and stress, reported 2008 sales of $47.1 million.
