Medtronic: Peek Prevail Cervical Interbody Device launch announced May 4. A "zero-profile" device, Peek Prevail eliminates the need for a plate and attaches to the spine with only two screws, Medtronic explains. The device's polyetheretherketone material is invisible on x-rays, allowing the surgeon to monitor spine fusion during follow-ups. Peek Prevail is indicated for patients with cervical disease from the C2-C3 disc to the C7-T1 disc.
