Hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler containing the local anesthetic lidocaine for pain reduction gains FDA market go-ahead for treatment of moderate to severe facial lines, folds and wrinkles. The first in a new line of HA dermal fillers that Mentor is developing with Genzyme under an October 2006 R&D pact, Prevelle Silk will roll out "shortly" on a targeted basis to experienced dermatology and plastic surgery customers, Mentor says.
