Executive Summary
The Heart Rhythm Society announces creation of 14-member task force to draft recommendations for improving ICD and pacemaker postmarket surveillance and communications between manufacturers, the federal government, doctors and patients. Chaired by Mark Carlson, MD, Case Western Reserve University, and comprised of electrophysiologist professionals who belong to HRS, the group aims to make the public policy recommendations available for public comment by May 1, 2006.
