Executive Summary
Concurrent with relocating from Louisville, Ohio to Akron, OrthoData Inc. raised $1.1mm in a Series B round to fund commercialization of its IntelliRod sensor system that provides surgeons with data about the progress of spinal fusions and therefore eliminates the need for unnecessary exploratory surgery. Akron BioInvestment Funds and JumpStart contributed money along with six undisclosed investors.
