IBUPROFEN MORE EFFECTIVE THAN ACETAMINOPHEN IN RELIEVING ACUTE PEDIATRIC MIGRAINE, according to a study conducted by Mirja Hamalainen, MD, et al., University of Helsinki, Finland. Results of the study "suggest that acetaminophen and ibuprofen are effective and well-tolerated as treatments for acute attacks of migraine in children, with acetaminophen having a faster onset but slightly less effect, and ibuprofen giving the best relief." The double-blind, cross-over study was published in the January issue of Neurology, the journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
