Ukraine sets 7% blanket VAT rate for devices

Executive Summary
Ukraine’s council of ministers has set a single rate of VAT for all medical devices at 7%. The new level has been applied in resolution No 216, dated 1 July 2014. The rate will apply to all devices, IVDs and implantables that are already registered or are as defined in resolutions 753, 754 and 755 (relating to the planned conformity assessment for devices, a system which has however been deferred for a year until 1 July 2015).
