Roche is phasing out its 454 Life Sciences genome sequencing systems by mid-2016, as it focuses on a recent deal with another sequencing specialist, Pacific Biosciences – giving it access to new cutting-edge sequencing technology. The move will involve shutting Roche’s Branford site and around 100 job cuts, a spokesperson told Clinica.
