St Jude Medical-backed firm CardioMEMS is likely to gain US FDA approval for its Champion heart failure monitoring system, according to Morgan Stanley analyst David Lewis. The agency has just released positive briefing documents ahead of a panel meeting on 9 October – the FDA is not obliged to follow its advisory panel recommendation but usually does.
