Medtronic has taken another step towards the long-awaited artificial pancreas, with US FDA approval of its MiniMed 530G with Enlite. The system incorporates the firm’s Threshold Suspend technology, which is designed to halt insulin delivery when glucose levels become too low, protecting patients against the risk of hypoglycemia.
