The summer heat appears to have not dulled investors’ appetite for promising medtech, with July booking the biggest venture financing deal of the year to date. The $168m raised by personalized knee implant maker ConforMIS hiked the monthly venture financing takings to nearly $505m, smashing June’s high of $373m (www.clinica.co.uk, 5 July 2013).
