Ex-Beckman Coulter CEO joins Hologic's board

Women’s health firm Hologic has appointed Scott Garrett, previously chairman, CEO and president of diagnostic company Beckman Coulter, to its newly-expanded board. He will serve on the company’s corporate development committee. Hologic’s board now comprises 10 directors, eight of whom are independent. Mr Garrett was at Beckman Coulter for almost 10 years, but quit his roles abruptly in 2010 (www.clinica.co.uk, 9 September 2010). Before joining Beckman, he was vice-chairman and interim CEO of Kendro Laboratory Products; and previously, chairman, president and CEO of Dade Behring.
