Executive Summary

The next steps towards the large-scale adoption of telemonitoring in Europe will be delayed until there is a concerted approach to establishing reimbursement structures. This cannot be enforced at EU level, as reimbursement is a national issue, paid for out of national budgets. But encouraging national authorities to push forward with what, ultimately, will provide the archetypal “win-win” is the responsibility of all key stakeholders.
