Executive Summary
Video laryngoscope specialist Aircraft Medical has appointed a new non-executive director, Charles Spicer. Mr Spicer is currently on the boards of privately-held UK orthopaedics firm Stanmore Implants and gene-based medicine firm Ark Therapeutics. He was previously CEO of MDY Healthcare, a strategic investment company focused on medical technology, and before this he spent almost 20 years in investment banking, where he headed up the healthcare corporate finance teams at Numis Securities and Nomura International. Mr Spicer already has links with Aircraft, having advised the company since July 2009. The appointment comes a week after the Edinburgh, UK firm made Moh Thudor vice-president of sales and marketing. Mr Thudor has previously worked for Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, Resmed and Smiths Medical. He replaces David Bowie, who is leaving Aircraft to become CEO of a newly-formed medical device firm spun out of Strathclyde University.
