Integra appoints Peter Arduini CEO

Orthopaedic and surgical specialist Integra LifeSciences has made Peter Arduini president and CEO, effective 3 January 2012. Mr Arduini joined the company in November 2010 as president and chief operating officer; previously, he was president of medication delivery at Baxter Healthcare, and before this had worked for GE Healthcare for 15 years. Mr Arduini will replace current CEO Stuart Essig, who joined Integra in 1997; Mr Essig will become chairman of the board. Richard Caruso, Integra's founder and current chairman, will remain a director.
