Stem cell preservation specialist Cord Blood America has bulked up its sample bank by acquiring ed the assets of NeoCells, a stem cell storage company and subsidiary of ViviCells International, for $320,000. The deal gives Cord Blood an extra 2,700 customers this year, and fits with the company's strategy to grow its gross margins by acquiring more patient samples.
