CarieScan is ramping up worldwide commercialisation of its flagship product, the CarieScan PRO tooth decay monitoring system, by striking a distribution deal for the Indian market with Analytical and Medical Technologies. Mumbai-based AMT, which will be exclusive distributor for the region, is said to have contacts with the 270 dental colleges in the country. India is expected to see a further 27,000 new dentists qualified in the coming years, putting it on par with the number of dentists currently practising in the UK, according to Dundee, Scotland-based CarieScan.
