Jeffrey Black has resigned as the CEO of Teleflex after more than ten years in the position. The Menlo Park, California-based company said that Mr Black had resigned by mutual agreement but did not specify his reasons for departing. Benson Smith has become the firm’s new chairman, president and CEO of Teleflex, which is striving to become a pure-play medtech firm. Mr Smith has been a Teleflex board member since 2005; before joining the firm he spent 25 years at CR Bard, where he most recently held the role of president and chief operating officer. He is also chairman of cardiac resuscitation and AED firm Zoll Medical and a board member at urological catheter specialist Rochester Medical.
