Spanish medical technology exports totalled €1.5bn ($2bn) in 2009, which is down 1.6% on the previous year. The national medtech industry association, FENIN, welcomed the figures in the face of a strong contraction in Spanish exports generally. Also, over the last five years, Spanish medtech exports have grown by 30.7%, noted FENIN.
