European Parliament committee supports French stance on In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) draft

Executive Summary
The draft report on the draft IVD-MD Directive just out from the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy apparently reflects many of the views of the French Medicines Agency. The French agency has called for manufacturers to submit more comprehensive information to the Competent Authorities than is required by the draft, and for three rather than two classes of IVD products.
