Executive Summary

Around SR 200 million ($53.3 million) has been earmarked by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health for the upgrading of hospital facilities throughout the country. A recent General Electric imaging seminar in Riyadh was told that there is a gap in Saudi Arabia's imaging facilities. While the large hospitals are equipped with the latest imaging technology, smaller hospitals only possess X-ray and ultrasound for limited applications.
