Biocompatibles (UK) has completed human trials of its phosphorylcholine-coated coronary guidewires in the UK. The results, from a group of 50 patients have not yet been published, but Professor David Cumberland of the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, says the results "are quite convincing and not yet quantified".
