Executive Summary
The new publicly-held company comprising 3M's data storage and image systems businesses will be launched in mid-1996 (see Clinica No 681, p 15). Bill Monahan, currently group vice- president of 3M Electro and Communication Systems, has been named CEO. He is a director of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. The new company, with annual sales of $2,300 million, encompasses laser recorders for medical imaging, including the Dry View imager, and conventional X-ray films.
