Executive Summary
The Senate bill for FDA reform is due to be introduced to Congress before the end of the month. Senator Nancy Kassenbaum intends to introduce the FDA Performance and Accountability Act 1995 before the Thanksgiving recess (November 23rd). Designed to streamline the review process, the bill contains many elements for agency reform debated earlier in the year and which have been incorporated into the House bill (see Clinica No 659, p 6).
