Executive Summary
Kontron (UK) is to sell Cardiopulmonary's (US) Venturi ventilator in Europe under an exclusive agreement. As part of the deal, Kontron has taken a minority stake in Cardiopulmonary. The Venturi incorporates volume/flow triggering, exhalation assist and breath-by-breath adjustable pressure support as well as conventional CMV, PCV, MMV and SIMV ventilation modes. Control is via a touch screen and recorded data can be used to simulate and predict the effects of different therapies.
