Endovascular specialist AngioScore (Fremont, California) has signed up Volcano as the exclusive distributor of its AngioSculpt balloon catheter for coronary indications in Japan. The AngioSculpt catheter is designed to treat both simple and complex lesions, including in-stent restenosis and type C lesions. The device has a Nitinol element, which provides anti-slipping properties while circumferentially dilating plaque.
