Executive Summary
A strong German mark shaved 6% off Beiersdorf's first-half sales growth. At DM 2,754 million ($1,996 million), turnover was up 3% compared with the previous year. Beiersdorf's medical division stagnated at DM 585 million, as did the German company's total international sales at DM 1,709 million. Beiersdorf reiterated its earlier forecast of sales growth between 3-4% for 1995 as a whole (see Clinica No 662, p 16).
