Biocircuits (US) has started clinical trials of its rapid, point-of-care thyroid diagnostics. The T4 and T uptake tests and IOS system are under investigation at three sites and the company says it hopes to make a 510(k) filing for the system and cartridge-type tests by mid-June. Biocircuits plans to extend the menu to include other frequently ordered immunodiagnostics.
