Executive Summary
A high-performance general X-ray system has been developed in collaboration with Japan for the Chinese market as a replacement for out-of-date systems used in larger hospitals, reports Clinica's Beijing correspondent. The remote-controlled, digital system will be manufactured by Beijing Shimadzu Medical Equipment which already has ten systems in place at several Beijing hospitals. Some 14,000 out-of-date X-ray systems are being used in hospitals in China.
