Executive Summary
London International Group, the UK condom and gloves manufacturer, has returned to the black in fiscal 1995 after shedding its loss-making photoprocessing operations last summer. Its annual after-tax profit was £11.7 million compared with a loss of £173.7 million a year earlier. Turnover on LIG's continuing business - health & personal products -, rose 5% to £286.7 million, "despite brand disposals, currency weakness in southern Europe and a more difficult but improving situation in the US", the company says.
