Graphic Controls, a US manufacturer of medical monitors, has reported a 12.5% increase in medical sales to $98.46 million in 1994. Group turnover was up 7.6% at $162.24 million and profits rose 96.6% to $13.31 million. Graphic says sales in North America of its medical electrodes increased 20% to $22.5 million, promoting the company to third place in market share. Merger discussions with Tyco International broke down in early 1995 but Graphic says it is continuing talks with other prospective suitors.
