A sole-source agreement to supply the 16 hospitals in Kaiser Permanente's Northern California region is expected to generate revenues of $15 million for United States Surgical. The five-year agreement, which became effective at the beginning of May, follows a supply agreement with Kaiser at the beginning of 1995 for laparoscopic and surgical stapling products.
