The Norwegian parliament has approved additional funding of NKr 50 million ($7.5 million) during 1995 to expand cancer treatment capacity throughout the country - particularly in the area of radiotherapy. According to the Department of Health and Social Affairs, regional authorities will be encouraged to invest the funds in radiotherapy equipment.
