Executive Summary
The Spanish government has approved 448 anti-fraud measures in an attempt to stamp out corruption in health, employment, business and social security. Included among the 40 health department measures will be the extension of the medical identification card for all Insalud-registered patients and closer scrutiny of doctors suspected of writing fraudulent prescriptions. The government hopes to have 90% of the measures in place by the end of the year.
