The World Health Organization (WHO) announced today that 38 rapid diagnostic tests now meet the minimum performance criteria of its malaria programme. In the latest round of assessments conducted under its Malaria Product Testing Evaluation Programme, it said that a further 16 were found to meet quality and reliability criteria, out of 29 new products.
