IMiG-MRI Systems has filed for US FDA 510(k) clearance for its low-cost, low-weight MRI system. The product, which offers a larger patient access volume than traditional superconducting systems, was on display in Chicago. The company explained that better quality images are obtained through a superconducting system that significantly reduces eddy currents.
