Saliva Diagnostics is to develop rapid tests for dengue fever, scrub typhus, leptospirosis and sub types of HIV under a cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with the US Naval Medical Research and Development Command. Although usually found in tropical countries, some cases of dengue fever, scrub typhus and leptospirosis have been reported in the southern US.
