Executive Summary
Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, have successfully retrieved epithelial cells from breast ducts using intraductal cannulation and endoscopy and have viewed duct anatomy using various contrast media. They now believe that they have found a reproducible method of gaining noninvasive access to breast tissue, which at present can only be done invasively by biopsy or fine-needle aspiration.
