T Cell Sciences has received a patent for its CD4+ lymphocyte enumeration immunoassay. The patent covers T Cell's technique for differentiating between cell bound and intracellular T cell antigens as well as total antigen quantitation. The TRAx kit, which is used for monitoring HIV progression was cleared by the FDA in May 1995 and is sold in the US by Diamedix, a division of Ivax.
