Drug delivery pump warning

Executive Summary
Home use of a terbutaline-filled pump to prevent premature labour is dangerous, claims the US National Women's Health Network. The group has asked the FDA to forbid Matria Healthcare from renting the device or, at least, warn doctors of terbutaline's risks and lack of proven efficacy. The NWHN claims at least two women died using the pumps; another eight or more suffered heart or lung problems; and one baby was born with heart damage linked to the pump and drug.
