A team of neurologists at the EuroEspes biomedical research centre in la Coruna, Spain, has discovered two cases of progressive hereditary dystonia. This is the first time the disease has been discovered outside Japan or the US. The team identified an eight-member family in Galicia, northern Spain, four of whom suffer from the disease, reports El Pais. The disease displays similar symptoms to Parkinson's.
