Executive Summary
Swedish medical device manufacturer Getinge Industrier has extended its tender offer for US sterilisation equipment manufacturer MDT. The acquisition was announced in May (see Clinica No 707, p 15) and the terms of the tender offer are unchanged. At the close of business on June 28th, 40% of MDT's outstanding shares had been tendered as opposed to the 66.7% required. The new deadline is July 12th.
