Coronary flow reserve is a useful index of stenosis and need for revascularisation, say cardiologists from Belgium and the Netherlands. Researchers from the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven and the Aalst Cardiovascular Centre compared flow reserve measurements with exercise testing, thallium scintigraphy, stress echo and quantitative coronary angiography in 45 patients with moderate stenosis and chest pain.
