French reimbursement for diagnostic tests fell 0.7% in April compared with a slight fall in March of 0.1% over the previous month. Spending on auxiliary procedures, which include EEGs and ECGs, fell 1.2% in April compared with a rise of 0.3% in March. Figures from national medical insurers CNAM show reimbursement for small equipment was Fr 89.5 million ($17.5 million) during the month and Fr 93.3 million for large equipment. April reimbursement for pacemakers was Fr 18.4 million and for other internal prostheses Fr 224.4 million. Total health reimbursement was down 0.4% for the month to Fr 35,505 million.
