Phase-contrast MRI can reliably measure coronary arterial flow and flow reserve, according to a 12-patient pilot study published in Circulation (April). The study shows that MRI can non-invasively measure absolute coronary flow in the left anterior descending artery, say researchers from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
