Centocor has agreed to manufacture ID Biomedical's rapid culture test kit for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The kits will be used in clinical trials which it is hoped will lead to an application for US marketing approval. A recent trial of the kit correctly identified MRSA in all but one of 451 samples tested.
