Executive Summary
Turnover in laboratory diagnostics in Germany rose only 2% to DM2,650 million ($1,767 million) in 1996, while volume growth increased 5%. Turnover is expected to fall by 2% in 1997, says Dierk Meyer-Luerbetaen, general secretary of the German diagnostics manufacturers association, the VDGH. Volume growth is expected to be counterbalanced by price reductions.
