The French Association for the Study of Hepatitis C Screening (ADHEC) has selected three sites around Lyon, Creteil and Besancon to carry out a study into the different strategies for hepatitis C screening. The study is intended to determine the exact levels of hepatitis C in the population and identify the principle risk factors. Until now, only 20% of people affected by the virus have been identified, which represents 1% of the French population, says Le Quotidien du Medecin.
