Vietnam has been granted a loan of $4.15 million by OPEC's Fund for International Development to help finance a government project for the manufacture of medical disposables. The plant is to be built at Phuong Mai, near Hanoi, and will be the first of its kind in Vietnam. It will initially have capacity for 45 million needles and syringes, but expansion is planned for after 2001.
