Executive Summary
The European Union's In Vitro Diagnostics Directive could be finally adopted at the European Council of Ministers meeting on October 5. The text will go before a political meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) this week where it should be recommended to the Council of Ministers for adoption. A September 17 meeting of COREPER technical experts agreed all the amendments to the Directive.
